Sam is the good looking boy next door who is incredibly smart. When he's not studying himself, he's tutoring his two best friends (one of whom took his help begrudgingly).

Sam was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. He and his mother still live in the tiny pale yellow house that Sam's great-grandfather built, and even though it's falling apart, Sam loves it.

He loves learning about new things and people. Sam is also very loyal and protective of his friends, and hates when he sees them hurting. He and his best friend Melissa love to spend their time at Presto Espresso with their other best friend Ebony, where Sam does his homework, and tries (unsuccessfully) to get the girls to do theirs.

 

When Ebony first came to town, he was the first person to treat her like a true friend. He would never admit it, but Ebony intimidated him when she first arrived at school, and he spent ten minutes in the bathroom hyperventilating.
